Total surface area of the appellation: +/- 310 ha.
Grape variety: gamay noir à jus blanc
Soil type: granitic and clay with silica. The clay coats the rocky and stony elements that are granite arkoses and schist.
Appellation extras: There are 12 named vineyards some of which bear names that are particularly well suited to the Cru such as "A la folie" (to distraction) and "En paradis" (in paradise) which give fleshy wines with a robust constitution and delicate aromas.
Winemaker personal notes: if this “CRUS” with a charmer name, could speak about his country he would do it with mischievousness and tenderness. Sharp, fine and balanced , this wine preserves all the fruit of the gamay and lets foresee a dress of ruby with a kirsch and spices flavors. With a tender and harmonious body, it sees number of his adepts growing.
